Eligibility
You can participate if you:
Are a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate student in India.
Have completed 10+2 or an equivalent qualification.
Are enrolled in a regular course approved by AICTE/UGC or an eligible management program.
Have officially started your academic year.
Not eligible:
Students who have already graduated or completed their course.
Students enrolled in distance/correspondence education.
Students whose classes have not started.
Non-full-time students.
Students on sabbatical from a non-Tata employer.
Competition Stages
Round 1 – Tata Quiz
24 August – 14 September 2026
20 multiple-choice questions.
20 minutes to complete.
Covers Tata Group knowledge, general knowledge, quantitative aptitude and critical thinking.
Faster correct responses can earn bonus points.
The round must be attempted using a desktop or laptop.
Round 2 – Game Plan
18 September – 27 September 2026
A gamified challenge designed to test:
Logical reasoning
Critical reasoning
Problem-solving
Quick reflexes
Practice modules will be provided before the games.
Round 3 – #ImagineThat Idea Pitch
1 October – 14 October 2026
Shortlisted participants will present their innovative idea through:
A 2-minute video pitch
Three short written responses covering:
WHAT: What is your idea and why is it needed?
HOW: How will your idea create change?
WHO: Who will benefit and what impact can it create?
Virtual Masterclass
Date to be announced
Shortlisted candidates will receive preparation support through a virtual masterclass focused on idea pitching, presentation structure and jury preparation.
Round 4 – Idea Defence
28 October – 6 November 2026
The Top 100 participants will present their ideas to a leadership panel and defend their solution, execution strategy and real-world feasibility.
Idea Buddy Phase
7 November – 19 November 2026
Finalists will be paired with an Idea Buddy, an early-career leader from the Tata Group, who will provide mentorship and help refine their presentation for the finale.
Popular Choice Awards
Selected finalist ideas will be opened for public voting. Up to 30 ideas can participate, with the highest-voted ideas receiving special prizes.
Finale

Up to 30 finalists will present their ideas to senior Tata leaders.
Finalists will get the opportunity to:
Attend a fully sponsored 2-day experience in Mumbai.
Visit Bombay House, Taj Palace and the Tata Experience Centre.
Interact with Tata leaders, TAS managers and fellow finalists.
Receive Tata brand goodies.
Earn a participation certificate.
