Software Engineer – D&DC Land Systems — Job Update | Vishal Kushwaha
The role involves software development, system integration, debugging, diagnostics, root cause analysis, and supporting issues reported from customer sites.
Required Skills
- Strong programming skills in C and C++.
- Strong understanding of Operating System principles.
- Experience with:
- Linux
- VxWorks
- QNX
- Experience working in multithreaded and multiprocess environments.
- Proficiency with Linux and Inter-Process Communication (IPC).
- Working knowledge of Jira.
- Knowledge of Qt is beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop software tools to accelerate system development and debugging.
- Participate in identifying and resolving issues reported from customer sites.
- Analyze system scalability and interworking issues.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) of complex system issues.
- Design and implement built-in diagnostics and test code to improve system reliability and supportability.
- Develop and maintain distributed architecture systems with inter-process communication.
- Work with software communication over various physical-layer interfaces and devices.
- Contribute to the development and integration of large, complex software systems.
- Perform system integration, troubleshooting, debugging, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams while managing multiple tasks.
Communication & Networking
Candidates should have knowledge or exposure to communication technologies such as:
- Serial communication
- Ethernet
- MIL-STD-1553
- CAN
- NMEA
- Modbus
Knowledge of networking concepts including:
- IP protocols
- VLANs
- Ethernet switching
