About the Role
Cognizant is hiring a Software Engineer with strong C and Linux development experience to work from a Mumbai client office. This is a fully on-site role with no work-from-home or hybrid option.
## Key Responsibilities
- Develop and debug applications using C on Linux/Unix.
- Work with pointers, data structures and memory management.
- Develop multithreaded and multiprocessing applications.
- Implement IPC using shared memory and queues.
- Work on TCP/IP and UDP socket programming.
- Perform application debugging using GDB.
- Work on process synchronization and performance optimization.
- Contribute to low-latency programming and performance improvements.
- Maintain version control and development practices.
- Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Develop shell scripts when required.
