Amazon is looking for a Front-End Engineer Intern to build highly interactive web interfaces using modern JavaScript technologies. The role involves working with technologies such as React, Angular, Thymeleaf, and jQuery in a fast-paced engineering environment.

The candidate will work on building compelling web applications and reusable UX components while solving challenging problems at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop interactive front-end experiences using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with front-end, web, or mobile development using:
  • JavaScript
  • HTML
  • CSS
• Knowledge of one or more front-end frameworks such as:
  • React
  • Angular
  • Thymeleaf
  • jQuery
• Understanding of front-end libraries, frameworks, and development toolsets.
• Ability to build scalable front-end experiences.
• Knowledge of reusable UX components and common UX patterns.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities in an engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as:
  • Data Structures & Algorithms
  • Object-Oriented Design
• Ability to evaluate risks and benefits of front-end frameworks and libraries.
• Ability to work effectively with ambiguity.
• Knowledge of front-end application testing.
• Experience or interest in automated browser testing.
• Interest in learning the latest technologies and building modern web applications.
