Overview

Blitz is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented SDET-1 with 1–2 years of experience in automation and quality engineering. The role is based in Bangalore HQ and is a full-time position. You will be responsible for building and maintaining automated test frameworks across web, mobile, and APIs, ensuring high product quality in a fast-paced, scalable environment.

Eligibility & Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering
  • 1–2 years of experience in QA Automation / SDET role
  • Strong understanding of Software Testing concepts and SDLC
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java or Python preferred)
  • Experience with automation tools like Selenium / Playwright / Appium
  • Hands-on experience in API testing (Postman / REST APIs)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins
  • Experience with version control systems like Git
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Required Skills

  • Experience in building or contributing to automation frameworks (Good to Have)
  • Knowledge of SQL and database validation (Good to Have)
  • Exposure to performance or load testing tools (Good to Have)
  • Experience with test reporting tools (Allure, Extent, etc.) (Good to Have)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms or test infrastructure (Good to Have)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for Web, Mobile, and APIs
  • Execute regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites
  • Identify, log, and track defects with clear debugging insights
  • Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues
  • Contribute to building scalable and reusable automation frameworks
  • Participate actively in sprint planning, test case design, and QA reviews
  • Work on CI/CD pipelines to enable automated test execution
  • Analyze test results, logs, and system behavior to debug failures
  • Ensure test coverage, reliability, and performance of applications
