The Associate Engineer will contribute to developing, supporting, and enhancing software solutions and automation capabilities that improve operational efficiency and service reliability.

The role involves working under the guidance of senior engineers and technical leads while gaining expertise in software engineering, troubleshooting, service management, and modern development practices.

🚀 What You'll Be Doing

  • Work under the guidance of Senior Engineers or Technical Leads to deliver assigned tasks.
  • Own and deliver assigned work items with quality and accountability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop an understanding of products, technologies, engineering processes, and business requirements.
  • Participate in code reviews, planning sessions, team discussions, and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Follow engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality processes.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
  • Continuously improve technical and domain knowledge.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and challenges effectively.
  • Support documentation, operational excellence, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in technical communities, learning programs, forums, and engineering events.

🛠️ Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in software development and application support.
  • Hands-on experience with Java (OpenJDK 17) and J2EE.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
  • Experience developing Microservices using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Data.
  • Good understanding of RESTful APIs and SOAP Web Services.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of Apache Kafka or similar event-driven messaging platforms.
  • Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI for API documentation and testing.
  • Understanding of SDLC, version control, testing, debugging, and software development practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

⭐ Desirable Skills

  • AI and Machine Learning knowledge or certifications.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Amazon Kiro, or similar tools.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with automation, observability, and monitoring tools.
  • Understanding of Telecom, OSS/BSS, and service management processes.
  • Contributions to technical communities, personal projects, hackathons, or open-source projects.
