Overview

Advance Sensing is hiring a Software Engineer to develop reliable and scalable software applications for machine vision systems, AI-powered industrial inspection platforms, industrial sensing solutions, automation systems and smart manufacturing applications. The Software Engineer will work primarily with Python, Java and related software technologies to develop application software, backend services, data-processing modules, APIs, database integrations and industrial software interfaces.

Required Skills

• Good understanding of software programming fundamentals and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Knowledge of Python programming and Python application development.
• Basic knowledge of Java programming and object-oriented application development.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms and logical problem solving.
• Knowledge of functions, classes, modules, exception handling and file operations.
• Basic understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON and software communication concepts is preferred.
• Basic understanding of Git or similar version control systems.
• Strong analytical, debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Interest in industrial automation, machine vision, AI-powered inspection and smart manufacturing technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain software applications using Python, Java and related programming technologies.
• Develop software modules for industrial machine vision systems and automated inspection applications.
• Build reliable backend services for processing inspection results, machine data and production information.
• Develop APIs and software interfaces for communication between industrial applications and external systems.
• Work with databases for storing inspection results, image information, traceability records and production data.
• Develop data-processing applications for machine vision inspection and industrial sensing platforms.
• Support integration of software applications with machine vision systems, industrial cameras, sensors and automation equipment.
• Develop software tools for configuration, monitoring, reporting and visualization of industrial inspection data.
• Perform software debugging, testing, optimization and performance improvement.
• Write clean, structured, maintainable and reusable application code.
• Participate in software architecture discussions, technical reviews and application development planning.
• Collaborate with machine vision engineers, AI-ML engineers, application engineers and automation engineers.
• Prepare technical documentation, software release notes and application configuration documentation.
• Support software installation, testing and commissioning of industrial systems when required.
