How Inflation Affects Indian Families | Vishal Kushwaha

Inflation is the increase in the prices of goods and services over time. As prices rise, the purchasing power of money decreases, meaning the same amount of money buys fewer things than before.

Example:

If ₹100 buys 5 kg of rice today, but next year it buys only 4 kg, that is inflation.

Problems caused by inflation in India:

The cost of living increases.

Food and essential items become more expensive.

Fuel prices often rise, making transportation costlier.

Middle-income and low-income families are affected the most.

If salaries do not increase as fast as prices, people find it harder to save money and maintain their standard of living.

In short, inflation reduces the value of money and makes everyday life more expensive.
